I just found your YouTube channel today which led me to your other channels. I have been trying to learn how to crochet for more than a month now, watching different online videos, with no progress. I was so happy to find your channel today! I have just started watching your videos and I am starting to pick things up much better. You are a great teacher! I decided to check out your other online pages as suggested in one of your videos and came across this vlog on mental health and crochet. I was very surprised by some of the similarities in our stories. I too have dealt with some mental health issues and have had a stellar recovery. I now work in a hospital as a Recreation Therapist. However, I am now going through some major health issues due to menopause and life has become very stressful again. I can’t really tell you how I came up with the idea of crochet, I was just looking for a project that would help distract me from what was going on. I had no idea how therapeutic it could be. I look forward to learning more from your videos. Thank you so much for all you do. You have inspired me to continue when I was just about to give up because I was so frustrated. I also appreciate you motivational words because I really just want to be able to complete a complicated project right now, but I need to learn the basics first. So I am really very pleased to have found your lessons to teach me what I need to know. Thank you.

Thank you for posting this. I too suffer from depression, anxiety, and recovering from bulimia. I knit and recently have fallen in love with crotchet. It is so relaxing and allows me to be mindful.
